Some of us tend to forget what’s really important. We strive for better jobs, better versions of ourselves and better opportunities. I too sometimes tend to forget what truly matters in my life, why I have made a list of reminders of the things I love. The small things in life are usually the ones that add up, why it is so important to remember to appreciate these and make them count.
We all go through periods of our life in which we experience big things such as getting a degree, moving in with one another, having children, getting married, starting a new job and what else make up the bigger things in our lives. But sometimes we forget the small things, the ones that make the everyday count, the ones that allows us to do what we love or the things that make our everyday lives easier.
Cosying up in the sofa netflixing it with your partner, finding your way to your bed after a long day, having meaningful conversations with someone we care for or is inspired by and going for long walks while enjoying the fresh air, are some of the things that add up.
We should all practise more gratitude in our every day, why I have made a list of little things to appreciate – maybe you’ll find some inspiration to practise your own gratitude.
This is my list of things I love. They are small but good and when reading them I remind myself of what to do more often; enjoy life, take it easy, chill and work in my own pace. No need to stress. With that said I am truly an advocate of a positive and meaningful life (of meditation, mindfulness, balance and a work-towards-your-goals life), why tucking in under a blanket on the sofa is not my usual routines, but once in a while, a morning with a good book, a good cup of coffee and some relaxation is all I need. A mindful break from my usual routines – a break that does wonders by the end of the day, and sometimes even the rest of the week.
